Our charity is completely self -funded, we do not receive any regular funding from anywhere, every penny raised goes back into the running of the centre. It costs around £3000 per month to keep our doors open, so as you can imagine continually raising that amount of money is a mammoth task. Every penny donated to us truly makes a difference and helps us to keep providing our much needed services to our clients.
Lottie-Leigh Oattes is our youngest fundraiser at the age of 4. Lottie’s Great-Grandad Steve Orton was a beloved client of ours who sadly passed away last Summer. Last year shortly before Steve passed away Lottie did her first fundraiser for us and raised £141. This year Lottie wanted to do something again for her Great-Grandad’s favourite charity and decided to do a sponsored walk.
On 21st March along with Mommy and many other supporters Lottie embarked on her sponsored walk and arrived at the centre with £504 in cash that she had collected. That total has now reached exactly £600. Lottie was awarded with a thank you letter, a certificate of appreciation and a special little ID Fundraiser badge which she was very excited about! Thank you Lottie for all of your hard work and raising so much money for us, you are our little star.
