Stuart McIntosh – Chairperson & Trustee

Stuart McIntosh is a commercial law solicitor of more than 15 years’ experience. Formerly a police officer, Stuart now heads up the law firm, Four Oaks Legal Services.

A few years ago, Stuart worked from offices adjoining the accountancy firm, Brookes Stephens Chartered Accountants, in Lichfield. Brookes Stephens were (and remain) the accountants to the law firm.

Amanda Cockle was an accountant at Brookes Stephens who handled most of the accountancy work for the firm. She was 34 years old when she sadly passed away from cancer in February 2015. She left behind a husband and two children below the age of ten.

Amanda had been the first employee of Brookes Stephens Chartered Accountants when Leon Stephens set up the practice in 2007 and she is missed every day by her former colleagues, customers and friends.

Amanda made use of the Tamworth Wellbeing and Cancer Support Centre during her battle with the disease that would ultimately end her life so terribly early. She found friendship and support and admiration at the Centre. Everyone there that knew her misses her still.

In memory of Amanda, Leon Stephens was inspirational in starting a series of fundraising exploits, raising money for the Centre and other local cancer charities. It was whilst supporting one of these highly successful events that the Centre’s trustees asked Stuart to come onto the Board of Trustees which he gratefully accepted.
